MASD Athletics Game Update:
January 12, 2024
The game that was scheduled for today, January 12, 2024, between Humphreys County and Amanda Elzy has been cancelled. We will send out updates on the rescheduled date.
Parents and Staff of the Mississippi Achievement School District:
The school day will proceed as normal. Be reminded that today is a 60% day for students. Parents may pick up report cards between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. in Humphreys County and Yazoo City. However, the report card pick up time for Yazoo City High School and Larry Summers CTE is 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. due to the basketball game with Canton today.

District leaders are monitoring the weather for Friday morning. The forecast predicts a level 3 out of 5 severe storm risk, with 5 being the highest on the scale. Damaging high wind, hail, and tornadoes are possible between 6 a.m. and noon tomorrow. We will update parents in the morning by 5:30 a.m. regarding the start time for school in the morning.
Please note the updates on the following games this weekend for Yazoo City and Humphreys County.

Starting Monday, July 10, 2023, the Online Student Registration will be open. You will have to go to your child's school to receive the registration code. Registration can also be completed at the school, if necessary. The schools will have the option to adjust times.

We have gotten clearance from local authority to allow the safe transportation of students. Buses are moving at this time.

It has been reported that an individual who was detained by local police in Belzoni has escaped and is still at large. In an effort to secure the safety of our students, schools are currently on lockdown. We will not release students until we have information from local authorities that it is safe to do so.

Attention mASD Parents & Staff - Please be advised that due to inclement weather tomorrow, Tuesday, November 29th, we will begin dismissing school at 12:00 noon, and all after-school activities will be cancelled. We will monitor the weather using the most current reports available to us. If we find that the storm will enter our community any earlier than what we know now, we will cancel school for tomorrow altogether, and you will receive a call from the district by 6 a.m. to confirm.
